Galmont very nice just off eyre square

Just myself and the wife, was thinking somewhere more central.

Radisson is 100%

Travelodge. It’s not full of asylum seekers like the ones in Dublin

Galmont is your job. 2 mins from Eyre Square and not too pricy.

Galmont is best option.

The Harbour is nice.

Radisson

I also found the Adare guesthouse superb very central and has parking.

Radisson is now the Galmont

I’ve stayed in the Galmont many times and it’s a grand and central spot. Only drawback is that it has too few lifts.

Could be worth checking the park hotel also.

The Raddison by the train station is very nice as others have said,
If you’ve never been then the G is worth a look, your missus will probably appreciate it

The G is anything but central and is in a retail park.

I’d avoid the G unless you get a really really good deal.

The salthill hotel is nice, out on the prom. Handy for “wild swimming” with the latte brigade

We’ve stayed in the G.
Most disappointing.

Its like a trip to the Eastway Business Park.

Fair enough, I liked it but it was a good few years ago.
It’s on a main road though, to be fair it has nothing in common with the Eastway business park, the pub across the road does lovely grub.
Anyway, that’s me told

What’s the new Merrick like? Looks decent in the pictures

The one by the train station. I’d say it depends on your room - not all rooms refurbished and some might be noisy if beside the station.

It’s a place I’d like to stay whenever I walk by. Give it a whirl.

It’s a bit old-school, but they are genuinely welcoming with it
