Well @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy believes Chester is in Ireland so I don’t know what to believe anymore
No, he’s not
Jaysus a flashback there to my leaving cert geography many moons ago, some poor god help us trying to teach myself and a bunch of other dunderheads about the casa per il Mezzogiorno and how it would solve all the south’s ills. All we wanted to do was get out and puck around, primary economic activity south of Naples was low on our priority list.
I’m going to advocate when I arrive in Italy.
Did you take Una Healy along?
I still haven’t booked anything. It’s down to between Parknasilla and Inchydoney I think.
I’ve never been to either (never stayed, was outside), both the same money.
Parknasilla
Plus 1
Parknisilla Sweden? Deadly. Shannon-Dublin-oslo-Hergeverts is a lovely trip.
Dont forget Chester
Both are quite nice. The Mrs will like either option.
Go with the Kerry option @TreatyStones. You’ll find it too hard to come on here giving Cork credit for anything. Both will be full of kids by the way so just be wary if it’s a break to get away from them!
Both are lovely hotels,
If the surroundings are anything to go on I’d opt for Clonakilty over Sneem and Kenmare,
Clon is a lovely town, recency bias I suppose as I was there yesterday but I’d take it over Kenmare anyway, not a Cirk thing either as there’s many large towns in the county that I’d never recommend other than to explore the surroundings
Clon is a grand little country market town. Turn left out of Parknasilla and you have Caherdaniel, Waterville, Portmagee, Valentia Island and the Skellig Loop. I know which one I’d go for especially if I was in Limerick and it wasn’t a five hour drive to get there.
Ah jaysus, I wasn’t comparing that, though you’re being harsh on Clon even then. Depends what you’re looking for but at this time of the year the ring of Kerry isn’t all that
Inchedonney is very run down and dated. Scenery is very nice but hotel is phoning it in
Derrynane house and beach are fantastic as well.
