Hotels In Ireland

@TreatyStones did you give this spot a buzz. Look as like good value.

Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in or close to Dublin city centre suitable for a family with young children and which has a swimming pool?

TIA,
B

Camden Court has a 16m swimming pool I think. Place was recently done up I believe.

lovely day in kilkenny last saturday
dinner in the bar in the river court hotel, absolutly smashing
i had steak, pepper sauce, bowl of chips and a bowl of boiled vegetables with a pint of mi wadi
it was utterly sensational
staff and service top notch, we had 4x kids <4 yo in tow
couldnt praise them enough

others hotels of note

  • maritime in Bantry and the ramada plaza in belfast are wonderful for kids

I really like people watching in hotels, especially Ireland. I like tipping down to the bar early before Mrs. Fran is ready, to have a quick drink before dinner.

When I arrived at the bar this evening there were 2 gentlemen sitting at one table, my immediate thought was a gay couple but they didn’t strike me as camp.

Anyway about 10 minutes later another straight couple arrived and the wife starts introducing the husband to the 2 fellas. My next thought was some bisexual swinger scenario but the husband’s general discomfort with the whole situation had basically confirmed my initial assumption of gay couple and they’ve both since confirmed it by announcing that they had facials today.

They are now sitting around a table engaging in some extremely uncomfortable conversation and the hetro husband is clearly out of his comfort zone, he can’t even make eye contact with the queers.

What I don’t really understand is how both these couples are in a fancy hotel and about to go for dinner in a Michelin star restaurant when they seem to have just met.

Thoughts please?

Possibly

Where are you, mate?

What I picked up from it.

I’m staying in an expensive hotel, I’m filthy rich
I’m OK with the gays
I’m not gay myself as I failed to spot the two gays, even after facials.
I look down on Roasters who have issues with gays

Avoid the weirdo reading the book.

The lady does business / works with one of the gays, even both of them if in the fashion/cosmetic game . One of the gays suggests dinner with respective partners. She agrees and husband has to go along reluctantly . He is not comfortable or not interested in the discussion . He might also be homophobic or could be edgy that he might be seen.

That’s another industry destroyed by the Internet .

There was some British SNM beastiality on there earlier on in the day.
