These green freaks would do alot more for the environment if they put a bounty on mink in this country and set aside funds to pay for the eradication of this menace from the countryside. With the amount of lads out of work around the country only too happy to make a few extra quid trapping these killers we’d have them under control compared to the current state of the country where they are running riot.

I’ve heard of plenty of sightings of them over around East & South Limerick, up towards the Galtees and that.
If they are killing 30k there must 150k or so.

They reckon the deer are increasing in number by anything up to 30% per year.

I actually had no idea that the figures were that high. The thing is though, how does that relate to the hunt gang?

They claim not to kill deer, so population control seems to be a separate issue.

Secondly, even if they did kill deer, it’s hardly an efficient or humane method of solving the ‘problem’ if it does exist.
