Calling the Runt and other fishing enthusiasts: Any tips for a man going out fishing tomorrow for the first time since he was a boy?

good thread- dublin bet a poor wexford team on sunday despite playing poorly

Timely bump Dunph, I’m just back from a great evening on the river. The flood water of last week seems to have brought down plenty of decent fish with it.

What are you going fishing for and where (lake, river, pier)?

Lake and for fish…

What gear have you?

WIll it be worms you’ll be using?

I would say worms probably. I have no gear but probably still have the rod i used as a boy somewhere about the place. I will be with Tournafulla Man who has become a competent fisherman recently, apparently…

I don’t know much about using the worms to be honest. Whatever Tournafulla man tells you to do, do the opposite. He’s a wreckless man.

The thought of someone trusting that man with a boat sends a shiver down my spine…

Christ, I assumed ye were fishing from the shore. Best of luck with that.

Where would i get a good rod or equipment in Limerick? Tournafulla Man is talking about using worms so who am i to argue with him…

I hope you have an enjoyable time on the lake tomorrow, Dunph.

i love that crazy fool
