I have truckloads on my bit of land. Every year the same. Massive things as well, never seen anything like them elsewhere. Not a mushroom in sight though
The butcher gave me a fine bag of the suet on Friday. I’m currently making beef dripping, and the smell is taking me back to my youth. I’ll be making treacle bread with the dripping.
Was out for a walk with aul lad yesterday when remarked at the lack of rabbits to be seen this year.
When I thought about it I realised I don’t see too many about recently.
Even the cunts who were grazing my lawn and tearing the yard up seem to have disappeared from view for past few months.
The third hit suffered by the rabbit population was in 2019 when rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD) struck. A form of viral hepatitis, the disease is highly contagious, highly infectious and nearly always lethal. It was first identified in China in 1984 and is now believed to be endemic in most parts of the world.
