Tony Kelly may become one of te greats but thatās a silly statement. In terms if consistent midfield play heās not even the best midfielder in Clare. Galvin is super at what he does and I would say understands the role better. Kelly fades too much to be considered the best midfielder. He is very easy on the eye, and his inspiration thru skillful moves is worth a lot but he has someway to go yet. He was snuffed out at half forward more than once this year so thatās an even less fair statement.
Tomas Waters
Over the year Harnedy should have got a POTY nominee, ahead if Horgan I think. Consistency has to be rewarded.
It seems silly having 2 guys nominated for 2 awards. Surely it kinda defeats the purpose.
Not true. The great Ollie Walsh left in 6 in the 1963 Final and went home with a winners medal.
Mossy Waters transformation is complete, a pity he may never grace the game again
The Ollie Walsh precedent has already been alluded to on this thread a few hours back.
Simlpy not true. Shanahan won 4 or 5 balls in the first half that were put on a plate for him by a dominant half backline, McInerney won a heap of ball in both halves.
Canāt believe Mulcahy got a nomination, he the 3rd best player in our full forward line this year
It just goes to show that alot if these awards/nominations are based in reputation. Thereās a few other questionable ones in there too.
Zane Keenan was more worthy of an All Star nomination than Mulchahy, cunts
Who?
Iāve just noticed Shane OāDonnell got nominated
Did Walter Walsh get nominated last year?
No, and rightly so.

Top scorer from play in the championship, why wouldnāt he be? Single handedly beat Wexford and Cork one could argue
Would have featured in every game bar the drawn final I believe. Starting in three and coming on as a sub in three. Scored goals in each game he started
Not one youād have called before the replay game Mac, thatās merely what Iām saying.
Then why not put that in your original post?
