Hurling All Stars 2014

In a situation where you had a pick of any county player Harnedy would get a slot I think and you would accommodate him in the team ahead of Chin

I wouldn’t pick Rushe either - walking liability

I stopped reading his team after I saw that.

Thanks be to fuck we had enough to pay off the referees (most of them anyway) this year or we’d never have gotten near the AI.
We’ve no-one good enough for a team of the year.

Hogan and Reid are charlatans sure, charlatans.

He could be an impact sub. Wouldn’t start ahead of any forward above currently. Not a vintage year for 6’s so you could take your pick of them really, I took a punt on Rushe.

You said right now earlier… Galvin didn’t produce much at senior this year but did have a fine u21 campaign, not the same thing.

Ellis might sneak in there with a token one for Cork

He has a couple of good years behind him and given his age he’s still improving. He has more in the bag than Harnedy at this stage. Also, go away and fuck off.

You’re right. I’d better fit him in or Kev will flip altogether.

Oh, oh… Look who didn’t have a Nutri-blast this morning!! Mr. Blender bender…

Why would Harnedy get an All-Star this year? Chin probably deserves one for his performances prior to the Tipp game but he is up against stiff competition.

Ellis might get 6 if everyone ignores he was baby-sit by Aidan Walsh all year.

What has Joe Canning done in the last two years of I/C hurling to be considered the best full forward in the game at present. I’d be surprised if he scored more than 10 points from play in each of the last two seasons. The likes of Callinan, McGrath, TJ Reid, McDonald et al have all delivered numerous outstanding performances in that time. Can’t recall one quality showing from Canning in that time. Richie Power did more in the last 2 & a half games than Joe has done at championship level in the last two seasons

I don’t think Wexford played Tipp this year?

Limerick are the new Tipp. And Limerick never feared Tipp.

What’s the name of the young lad who got hoty last year, Kelly? Why wouldn’t he feature in a ‘if fit’ 15?

I struggled past Gleeson and stopped at Cahill

Updated picks.

Darren Gleeson
Paul Murphy
JJ Delany
Seamus Hickey
Brendan Maher
Pauric Maher
Cillian Buckley
Lee Chin
Richie Hogan
TJ Reid
Bonnar Maher
Bubbles O Dwyer
Colin Fennelly
Seamus Callanan
Richie Power

HOTY : Richie Hogan
YHOTY : Cathal Barrett

Jamesie O’Connor has selected Conor McDonald as his YPOTY in his Sky Sports column. Cathal Barrett gets a mention too but O’Connor was present at a number of Wexford championship games and must have been struck by McDonald’s exceptional performances and talent.

Jamesie knows the score

Gleason
Murphy
Delaney
hickey
Maher
Ellis
Buckley
Hogan
McGrath
Reid
Maher
Dwyer
Dowling
Callanan
Power

Barrett for young hurler
Hogan for HOTY

undecided at 6, and cork will prob get one for Munster title.
Second midfield up for grabs too. Can’t see chin getting it, or being close.
And corner forward too. Went for Power after his 2 final appearances.

This will be an unbelievable personal victory for you pal if it comes to pass. And Conor too I suppose but mostly you.
