Former Wexford hurler turned free spirit Diarmuid Lyng has a mini-documentary on TG4 tonight tracing the âevolutionâ of hurling in the '90âs. He talked it up a storm somewhere last week to the point Iâve it set to record at 21.30 SouthNorthWestern time.
If itâs shite or there are surprising results/collapses/late pulling/banjo players donât blame me.
Wasnât he a big part of off the ball at one point?
Dunno, whatâs that?

That post should get an auld bump.
Thereâs a thread to highlight Bookmarked posts, mate.
I wouldnât give tj reid any or kelly
Waste of an All Star giving one to TJ Reid he has so many of them.
Are you saying this to me in a north side or a south side accent?
There are some people that have to get them every year. Nicky English, Daithi Burke, TJ, Joe Canning.
The current Lk team will only have arrived when certain players receive all star awards after an average year
I think Lynch is at the stage where he might get one this year by reputation
I think he merits one. Some of the things he does are just unreal, heâs a wizard. Iâd pick him at midfield. Our biggest worry after that kk semi final last year was weâd be beaten any time a team could similarly shut down Lynch (and Hannon). This year weâve been so good that we donât even need him to be central to everything we do.
Last year v Kk the three best lads on Sunday were all off the pace to varying degrees . That was the real factor .
Be interesting to see how many All Stars this Limerick get now in comparison to say what Tipperary got in 2001 for going the entire season unbeaten also.
Also?
It wasnt a proper season really. Very abbreviated and a rush job. Iâd say Hayes, Hegarty, Morrissey, Finn and maybe 1 other - Byrnes. Itâs more about the system and financial backing than individuals.
Be interesting to see who bites here now
