I see we are having a July All Ireland final next year.

Championship April - July. No round robin or Super 8 nonsense.
Back door in football. Hurling same as this year.
Club from August onwards. I’m happy with this but surprised they’ve gone with it.

What does that mean for club season?
Essentially it means the first round of interminable club championships will be played in the hurling month of August. The real business will be run out over muddy ditches in November and December.
My source about the Galway non-training (ers) issue tells me Clare hurling may have tweaked something this evening.
