Hurling Championship 2020 - The Year Limerick Blitzed

And Sigerson. They called it the Paul Flynn DCU rule

That is an inexperienced full back line and a small midfield ready to be esh alive by Galway’s Treebeards.
Galway by 11.

Wonder how many changes Davy will make to published team (whenever it’s published)

I’d rather him there than wing forward.

We need to play the game tomorrow on our terms rather than Corks terms. We’d be destroyed with an open running game. Make it a battle, Cork don’t have the dogs for that and we’ll beat them hurling after

Plays most of his club hurling in half back line anyway doesn’t he.

DJ surely being primed for the hot seat there

Not to be a cunt but, when was the last time tipp won a game that was a real battle? 2016 semi v Galway?

A man down and a few points v Wexford last year…

Wexford collapsed. Not a battling performance by tipp by any means. I’m genuinely struggling to think of one close battle of a game that they won since that semi v Galway.

Well they were knocked out early in 2018 and won the all Ireland in 2019. So really your talking About very few games.

Semi final last year

You are a bit thick are you…A win when 5 points and a man down with 25 mins to go and that wasn’t a battling performance.

No I don’t think it was. Wexford blew up big spectacularly, the result was wholly down to that to be honest.

In that case we can say Cork and KK blew up when beating Limerick in 18.

Cork collapsed deep into extra time, but no, they drew with us in normal time. Kk lost by a point and were pushing to the end. So no on both counts.

Ah they battled, when tipp are bait its because they are overpowered or outrun, in which case a battle probably won’t transpire… The likes of the Mahers, they never dont battle.

Limerick are an awful match up for tipp styles wise, think we make them look like quitters when they are just overpowered.

When the game is in the melting pot, tipp battle.

Think we’ll be adopting a 3rd and a 4th midfielder with that line out :grimacing:

Off the panel or out of the 26?

Yeah Wexford aren’t great at chasing games in championship hurling. Can’t recall them reeling in that many deficits bar those two league games against Kilkenny in 2019 and 2020 and the comeback draw against Galway in last years championship. Most of those comebacks were wind influenced though.
