Quite an Imbalanced list that of the 60 or so forwards listed, of the 5 that are given top billing with 12, 3 are current players. TJ Reid only became a regular in his 8th season of championship hurler as all the great forwards on the greatest team of all time departed. He couldnāt get near one of the 6 starting forwards berths on that team. Callanan a sub and peripheral in his first few seasons too.
Maybe to make it trickier - you cannot exceed 30 points for the six forwards but if you use less than 30 in the forwards like @Fagan_ODowd you can use this surplus for 1 to 9
It is just as the rule book says for throw in you need to line up with 6 backs - 2 midfields and 6 forwards. You can line them out as you like but that is what you have to pick here
When you put the time and effort into constructing an alternative list you can follow up with a specific comparison in selection profiles and tier application of individual players.
@Big_Dan_Campbell has done an exceptional job and managed to keep myself and presumably others away from the āDeath -O- Metersā if even for a small while.
Wexford players donāt seem to be eligible for this. Of their 1996 All Ireland winning team, no Martin Storey, Rory McCarthy or Tom Dempsey. Must examine the list again, but from a quick glance at it donāt recall seeing either Conor McDonald or Rory OāConnor.
Joe Cooney as an 8 is the best value on it. A 12 every day of the year.
Alot of lads falling into the Lehane trap I see, a champion hide & seek player but the majority of backs listed would have a comfortable 60-65 mins marking him.
