Hurling is the greatest game in the world

Not exactly a problem that the Laoise gga have had for awhile

‘laoise gga’

Fuck me another rattled cunt today. Give over will you FFS, what happened was fact.

It was staring us in the face.

Disappointing game. Very one sided. Tipp could have won by 20 apart from some great saves.

It was disappointing…all of our worst fears came to pass.

KK don’t have the hurlers anymore…the only solace is Tipp won’t dominate the game like KK did over the last decade.

It’s wide open now.

We’ve being saying that since 2010 horse.

I haven’t pal…

It is though now.

2010 was a year I’d prefer to forget…we’re still suffering from that disaster.

Wide open between 4 teams maybe . Waterford, Galway, Tipp and Kilkenny. Twill take an awful lot of work for the likes of Limerick, Clare, Wexford, Cork etc. to get there.

Agreed…but our day will come.

We’re going in the right direction at least…senior management team appointment is key…we fuck that up and all the underage groundwork might as well never have happened.

Yep agree there. This is probably the last time for a few years we can afford to wipe the slate clean and start over. .Genuinely don’t know what a reasonable expectation is for us next year. Promotion obviously, but in terms of championship expectations, I don’t know what would be considered progress.

Promotion out of 1B.

Everything after that is a bonus.

only 4 counties play it ffs

Hey @ChocolateMice. Have you a link to the ones from Limerick? Is the Ballinagaurd the one near Ballyneety of ‘I doubt it says Croker’ fame?

The one from Fedamore resulting in a death and concussion just reminds us all that little changes over the centuries. Just as well for all the neighbouring parishes that they are concentrating on the big ball these days.

Yes on the Crokers… No link as you need a subscription to the site in question… There are loads of articles on hurling affrays in Limerick in the first half of the 19th century

has anyone here ever resorted to paying over the odds to a tout for a ticket? or vice versa have ye ever sold a ticket to a tout?
you always see them around tho, i even saw them at cork donegal and the place 80% empty
at the moment only 1 GAA game / year sells out , the AI football final so you’d imagine these fellas do no trade at all except that day
ive heard the famous stories from my fathers time in the late 70’s 80’s of touts apparantly “tearing tickets up at 3 30pm” instead of selling them at a loss… now im sure this is just urban myth
i only ever considered it one time, 2013 euro u21s spain and germany sold out in netanya, equivilant of 40 euro tickets going for 200… lads buying them also, i didnt bother and just watched it in a bar

Think they generally just operate now by taking tickets off fellas who’ve been left with them. So a €30 ticket for a munster final, they’ll buy it for €15 and try to sell it for close to face value. Can hardly be worth the hassle anymore though.

One of the Tyrone All Ireland finals, a big Nordie boyo flattened a tout up by Quinns and grabbed the tickets out of his hand.

I only ever bought a ticket for the 1995 AIHF off a tout. I got it at about a quarter past three and paid a tenner over the odds for it. Not bad considering. I have never sold a ticket a touted nor have I ever sold a ticket for over face value.

It’s an indictment of the FAI that they have failed to mobilise and monetise the armchair and housewife fan taking into account a large number of soccer fans would be on disability benefit and not capable of attending games.
