It all hangs on how our game develops. If we stop conceding soft goals we would be very hard to stop.
I wouldnât read anything into yesterday. Waterford looked fairly flat and still outplayed us in the second half

The current Kilkenny team would find it hard to live with a Clare team in full flow. The older lads like Jackie, JJ & Tommy would find it very difficult to handle the pace of the Clare forwards and the younger fellas coming through have not been tested properly yet. Kilkenny would really need to get on top in the midfield and half forward line to have a chance of winning which is something they had big problems doing last year

Dillons form is very encouraging in that respect. Probably our most improved player in the league thus far. Waterford stayed in Dungarvan yesterday , their body language in the first half was dreadful
Yes but he is a target for refs. What McGrath booked him for yesterday I donât know. Tuohy is in a good run of form at present. Bugsâ hurling is very rawkish at the moment
Bugs never goes well in the league , he should give Tuts a run, he had a great year for club and u21s, hopefully we will see Bobby Duggan also v Galway, Jamie Shanaghan is another thatâs been on the panel now for quite a while without game time
I think you are right. I think Clare in full flow are the best out there, but we will just have to wait and see. That I suppose is my point. Whatever we think now, the best yardstick is probably kk in the championship.
Bugs, Tuts⌠WTF?
Tuts I meant OHalloran, Fergie Touhy in his step father, mixed up the surnames
Agreed on Stephen OâHalloran. It might be a year too soon for Duggan but yes he could do with a match in different circumstances to what he experienced in Parnell Park.
Shanahan needs to perform with the 21s this year. Looked pretty good with LIT but I feel he needs to prove himself with the 21s this year. Iâve yet to figure out his best position and if he has the pace for it. On his day he is capable but inter county hurling is a savage step up from anything like minor or club.
Shanaghans 2nd year on panel now and survived cull so we need to see whyâŚ

Deck shuffled again. Everyone will be hoping that Murphy doesnât frig anything up and nails the 1 jersey down.
JJ sheds his winter coat for the first time. Jackie to centre back. Richieâs run at midfield continues. Dunno about Larkin in the corner though.

I believe the problem with Eoin Murphy is his puck outs so hopefully they will improve (in the eyes of the powers anyway) . Jackie, at least , knows where the centre back position is and I would actually wonder more at JohnJoe Farrell getting a spot again

Fuck sake. Waterford have scored one goal in the league. Murphy will get an armchair ride.
Everyone is scoring goals (or a goal) against KK though - and he has the old lads directly in front of him !
Another slow start for us. 3 points down and weâve hit three wides from frees.
3 frees missed by Henry now
I wonder could Kilkenny go the whole half without scoring?
These lads are being shown up as bottom of the ground players.
Off the mark finally.
That pass from Henry
Scrappy enough so far, Abysmal shooting from Kilkenny.
Kilkenny having a lot of trouble holding on to the ball when they take it into a tackle
Not sure what the brick is complaining about there
