Hurling Power Rankings

That’ll change dramatically by June

The best lads from those teams are still U20 this year so it’ll be another 2-3 years before my start to see Tipp emerge again. Tipp v Offaly should be a brilliant U20 final this year.

Clare will beat Tipp in Munster I think

Oh that’s true. I’d forgotten about their crack team that won minor a couple of years ago. I’d been swayed by Tipp lads here waxing lyrical about Euan Murray.

Tipp have 20 forwards of intercounty standard though!

Its a tsunami.

There’s a fair chance none of those hotshots who fired over 28 points for Thurles CBS today will start.

It doesnt get more box office than a Kilkenny defeat and a Rory McIlroy win the same day. How will @Locke handle this?

Oooooooffftttttt

Swap Tipperary and Kilkenny there

There’s only one park now for @Locke.
That’s SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

  1. Limerick
  2. Cork
  3. Clare
  4. Galway
  5. Tipp
  6. Kilkenny

That’s a weak list. Could you not extend it to 14/16 teams?

I could

There’s only one man able to do a proper POWER RANKINGS around here.

  1. Clare - All Ireland champions and league champions. Undoubted no 1
  2. Cork - Runners up and the coming force in hurling. Need to fine tune a few things and could do with sorting the gurrier element within the support base
  3. Limerick - best team in the land since 2018 facing into choppy waters and some dreaded TRANSITION
  4. Kilkenny - consistent but held back by playing in the diddy cup that is the Leinster Championship
  5. Tipperary - they are BACK but are they BACK enough for 2025?
  6. Dublin - could be dark horses for the year. Virtually Guaranteed to come out of Leinster
  7. Galway - fuck knows
  8. Waterford - Hard to see how they can improve. Underage hasn’t been good for a while
  9. Wexford - will be hoping Lee Chin comes back.Squad looks threadbare
  10. Carlow - Showing promise. Picked off a few decent results lately
  11. Antrim - stayed up in Leinster last year. Beat Wexford. Davy might improve them. So he might
  12. Offaly - Obviously strong at underage but they’ve a long way to go
  13. Laois - dangerous lunatics
  14. Westmeath - Think they might be on the down swing
  15. Kildare - they beat Kerry recently. That’s all I know about them

Lee Chin is back in training in Ferns since last Tuesday. Woolie was well wide of the mark.

I think they’ll be top 3 this year but virtually guaranteed is a stretch.

Antrim swap places with Offaly.

I’m also going to put Galway above Dublin. Thought they looked good in patches against Clare.

  1. Clare

  6. Galway

You’re being extremely nice to Waterford there.

Laois will beat Carlow and Antrim to leap up the ratings.
