Iām trying to balance current form with what I perceive to be the potential in a team, and then sprinkling last yearās championship form in as well. Itās a real tightrope walk Iām doing
Youāre a natural.
This place has been crying out for a proper set of hurling rankings. Something Brehony would be proud of
After round three
- Limerick - They find away, even if they had -4 championship starters and a human blimp in goal
- Galway - Dark horses for the AI final.
- Cork - BACK! Can beat anyone on their day.
- Clare - AI champs and are still a class outfit. You donāt mind them slipping back results wise in the league.
- Tipp - On the rise. Donāt need an AI title until latest 2029 but maybe 2025?
- KK - It would be great to see us putting 70 mins together.
Time to call a stop and let a new man take over. Youāre like Cody in 20/21. Yesterdays Power Rankings man.
Iāll step down when Tipp win an All Ireland.
Heās had his day but itās a young manās game and @Batigol is the fresh voice this thread needs
Do we need a poll?
Cody got a fairly poor Kilkenny team to an All Ireland final that year.
Iām happy for peaceful coexistence
Youāve lost the plot with Galway at No 2, and they having a heap of little breacƬns, that will be ate alive come championship.
Have I? A man that bleeds Maroon back at the helm. The King dethroned. Galway wouldnāt fear Clare and Limerick in a semi final / final challenge.
You still havent changed your username.
Youāre right. I was going to argue that 2020 & 2021 donāt count but they are down on record so fairs fair.
@admins please change my username to HumanBlimpInTheGoals please, thanks.
Thats a fantastic name. Youll always be locke to me
Youāve shown that a long name can be pulled off. You are an inspiration, pal.
You are doing a great job of letting Down fly under the radar there and itās much appreciated. Despite being 3 from 3 in Div 2 and toppling Kildare in Ballycran last month you still have the flour bags ahead of us, and even leave the cut-off at 15 teams to keep the spotlight off us. I see one of our coaches has got a gig with St Thomasās, hopefully that doesnāt derail things.
Kilkenny were beaten in All-Ireland semi-finals in 2020 and 2021. By Waterford and Cork. No All-Ireland final.
Itās only 2 years ago that the OTB lads had Carlow ranked 18th about 3 months before they won the Joe McDonagh. I flagged it at the time as being an appalling oversight.
Time goes by quickly. Was thinking about three all Irelands ago.
I threw Kildare in as a token gesture. I canāt be debating Micky mouse hurling
