You might have just picked a bad day. I went to go in there a few weeks ago and couldnāt get in the door, turned out it was student race day.
Itās a long time since there were many tables in the front bar, would be very surprised if the tables on the right were gone as they are mainly occupied by auld regulars.
Never had a bad pint of Guinness in there but I do think it is overrated.
It passed over in the family some half a dozen years ago I think?
