Thatās a broad generalisation. A more accurate statement would be that developing countries tend to have poorer human rights records than developed countries, but that most countries have major human rights failings. We couldnāt list them all in the USA and Ireland is fucked up on a number of fronts.
Democracy doesnāt always guarantee human rights either. Ireland, shamefully, had a vote recently on whether to grant human rights to a certain minority.
Iām surprised at your concern about human rights all of a sudden. Protection of human rights is a very different type of outlook to the libertarianism you usually come out with.

You are a very confused individual, comparing human rights in the US and Ireland to Muslim majority countries is just nonsensical.
There is a direct correlation between Muslim majority countries and a very poor record on human rights, regardless of how developed or undeveloped the country is. Scroll down to the GNRD data in the middle of this page, almost all Muslim majority countries score less than 50%, with UAE the obvious exception.

Yeah. We keep patting ourselves on the back for that one. But everyone misses the point that we decided itās ok to vote on whether a minority gets equal rights or not. That is completely the opposite of human rights philosophy. Based on that we could equally legitimately vote to deny any minority any selection of rights.
The direct provision scheme is going to be looked back on as a repeat of the magdalene laundries.
