You’re on the Camino Estrecho there. A beautiful place. The most southerly point of mainland europe.

A lot greener than I thought too. I haven’t been in summer but hear it gets way too busy. Some cracking beaches here too. Not a geezer in sight.
There was an off-road trail, first gear in the car which went round by the coast. Dicey but worth it. The pic was just after the torre de guadalmesi or
something like that! Hard to believe it’s a different world across the water.
This pic was from the route between Algeciras and Tarifa.
Just keep it to yourself and don’t be putting it up on any internet forums for lads from Limerick and Wexico to be infesting the place
I walked it years ago. A really special place. El Camello about 10 k from there. That route as far as La Linea de la Concepcion is called the Camino Estrecho. The Via Serrana takes over from there to Seville. Great memories.
Did you go across to Morocco? Algeciras was an odd auld spot.
I had a big roaster burned head on me but no other Paddys around the last few days from what I saw.
Just the Dutch and German fuckers
Magical part of the world outside of the shitholes like Marbella
Passed through Puerto Banus on way back just for a gander as i’ve never been there. Some amount of what looked like off season footballers (or gang members) renting boats or jet skis, English haunty ones with fake faces and tits with rough chavs, russian women with rubber faces, fancy cars, geezers and some D4 types sitting in a yacht called the Quiet Man. I couldn’t say i’d recommend it at all. Really tacky place despite all the wealth.
I intended to but the weather was very stormy on the free day I had intended to go there. I had other plans and couldn’t go. l will be returning there soon enough and I intend to get the seacat across to Tangier.
Trash with cash …some great wild beaches off over towards Cadiz …won’t meet too many Irish or Brits
I think there is some diplomatic spat between the two govts so you can’t cross over now. Gibraltar one of the strangest places i’ve been.
Cadiz is a lovely spot with great beaches. Was there a few years back. Would love to go back. I would say they are goosed for jobs down there though…
Gibraltar meh. Been there many moons ago, l wouldn’t enter it again. La Linea is a real place.
Gib is synthetic and artificial.
Always have been but Gaditanos are great people ,couldn’t give less of a fcuk, just love the craic and the Carnival…
Cadiz is officially the happiest place in Spain to live.
It’s true
Wasn’t there meant to be a sign there years ago basically saying ‘welcome to Cadiz -highest unemployment in Europe …’
It’s the worst place I’ve ever been. Full of Wayne Lineker types. A Moroccan lad did proposition me in a night club so I could be living out there as a kept man if circumstances had been different.
I can’t say i know tbh but it wouldn’t surprise me. Jerez is breathtaking.
