What castle is that, bro?

Cork city. My wife is from about 7 or 8 miles away and we live in Limerick city.
It’s a nice spot, particularly on a summers day but it was a nice day out today.

Is your wife from Granagh?

23rd of June is bonfire night up the country, it was also the day before the fair.

Happy to give that the 10th like.

That’s a fucking abomination. Cunts starting a bonfire with wooden pallets, it’s not Belfast. Some traditions deserve to die out.

Would you see down into foynes from there? Where exactly is it

Tintern abbey. Nice aul spot. Will throw up some of the walled garden photos when it gets up and going in spring.

Foynes on a summers day no problem, you can see the Magillicuddy reeks. I’m facing the shannon there, Aughinish is straight ahead. A local lads pointed out the Nevilles cross car park in the dark, like the great Wall of China.

It’s a couple of miles from Ballingarry.

Grand walk, but outstanding? I think not

You did see the next post with a load of pallets on a hill?

So poor it didn’t warrant a response. Don’t be getting all sore though, you can’t be content with just better than mediocre

You and your 2k walk, we had that done before we got to the start.

Not sore at all bud. A nice walk around home taking in some nice weather for the time of year that’s in it, getting out with the kids, seeing some lovely views and going thru forests and walled gardens is outstanding to me. There was even a hunt on today and the kids got right fun out of the horses and dogs all around. A lovely way to spend a new years day.

An outstanding way to spend some quality time with the family, no doubt. But was the scenery or the walk itself outstanding? As self appointed adjudicator of this thread, I’m going to give it a 5/10

Tintern Abbey is a smashing spot, we spent time there last year in the summer, same day we visited the lighthouse and Loftus Hall, gorgeous part of the world up there.

What’s the inscription on the rock? You need to provide some more detail or we’re looking at a 3/10 situation here

A fair assessment. I’ll see about getting better pictures once it hits summer and its true beauty shines thru better than on a winters day.

You should have let me know. In a Flatty style fashion, we could have met for a nice coffee in the gardens

@Gman I shouldn’t be giving advice, but I’d highly recommend a trip to hook head if you want to up your average. Steer clear of loftus hall, overrated, ten a penny in the wesht
