That’s actually bordering a few acres of wheat or barley or similar
That little metre wide path has the sea on one side
Fields of crops as far as the eye can see on the other, so the wildlife have this little stretch of heaven for a few hundred metres max
The yellow- flowered weed. Should be pulled up and burnt
That’s at the bottom of the field- public walkway
So I presume the farmer has to leave it
Whatever it is it’s vital for bees, butterflies,pipits etc
Also known as buchallan and ragwort. Can kill cattle and horses.

Ahh ragwort- no livestock here within 4 km
