I'm going into town now

You get free pints at the storehouse so you’ll be starting early.

I’ll have one, I don’t want to be shouting at the elephants later in my afternoon steaming

The whole of TFK is going to be making up reasons to go to Dublin for a day on the piss soon.

The bar has now been set with watching Oppenheimer and going to the Zoo.

It’ll take some beating in fairness.

I was at the zoo earlier in the summer, fucking bastarding giraffes nowhere to be seen, the youngest was devastated. It was also where I saw the youngster knocked over in the car park.

Giraffes me bollix.

No day in town is completed without a quick dip into the Damer.

I did a 90 minutes spin into the national gallery a month ago.
My first visit.
It is a hard enough place to navigate. 90 minutes and another visit is the best plan for it.

The Hugh lane is a more relaxing outing.

Culture night could be off the chain. Telling herself the little museum is free for one night only as you do a tour of snugs with Roy Curtis

Any word from @FlakeAway

Have the streets of Dublin got the better of another good man?

It went pretty much as I expected. The best part and a very simple enjoyment was just going at my own pace throughout the day but keeping on the move. I clocked 26k steps & 24km, (Thank god I wore the shorts)

Takeaways:

Storehouse- A self tour, happy days. I thought it’d be somewhat guided. I was in the gravity bar 30 minutes before the Americans. I enjoyed it all the same I’m into the history side of things so some cool stuff to see.

I did go to pay for a second pint in the Gravity bar but OBVIOUSLY it was just a ticket bar (1 drink per person), it made sense as soon as she said it. Rookie🤦🏻‍♂️

Zoo - Class. Did 3 laps i’d say. Way more stuff open from the last time I was there during covid.

Food- Bunsen, has never let me down…

Pubs - P.Duggans, Dames Tavern, Stags Head, Long Hall & 1 pint in Houston. I wanted to go Briodys or The Palace but left it too late.

Dublin is class & the Dubs are sound imo.

I start that new role Monday that I mentioned in the interview thread a few weeks back too. Cheers for the well wishers at the time, much appreciated didn’t go unnoticed & I had a good laugh at some of the replies.

So this week I used annual leave and said I’d enjoy a bit of freedom beforehand & drink a few pints but nothing crazy.

Friday- I’ll attend a match
Saturday - A good Few of us will tip into the Wolfe Tones in GG.

But ya all in all a great day, & worth it.
Few pictures there.

New job announcement, a day out in Dublin and pictures of pints of Guinness are box office like magnets alright.

You are a man after my own heart it must be said.

I’d be a big Bunsen man. Generally stands me in good stead if having a day/night out in the capital. I tend to get very drunk, very quickly without one or at least a Heuston Station carvery in the system. The Sunday of this years All Ireland Hurling Final and the Saturday of the 2019 Hurling Final being classics of this genre.

I’d have absolutely no interest in looking at elephants in Dublin Zoo or watching Oppenheimer in a cinema fpr that matter, but i must plot some sort of day out by myself in the capital to match the exploits of yourself and @Fat_Pox in the coming months.
