I'm going into town now

It comes into its own for winter racing and Christmas

The Damer is the only positive thing I’ve ever taken from TFK.

Everything else has been coated in large doses of cynicism

Also very admirable that once the 90 plus minutes of soccer is over the TV is promptly turned off so one can concentrate on lingfield, Chelmsford or Kempton.

Neary’s foolishly overlooked here too.

I doubt if wild horses would drag @TheUlteriorMotive into a Northside cathedral.

He could do the croke park skyline with Des Cahill and get a rickshaw to Clearys and ask him to wait outside

You’d nearly be embarrassed getting drunk in there though

If there’s nothing on in the Aviva sit in the bar in the beggars bush.

True actually. Tis very open. You’d want to be a luvvy to get away with it…

Peadear kearneys is a grand spot to watch the racing too.

Nowt wrong with Brogans either, despite the fact the ceiling is about to fall in and it’s filthy. It’s dark enough to mask all that.

I’ll be going in myself. The brother is buying me a suit and we’ll head in to a few cathedrals for some porter and hopefully meet a few other brothers. Ill look out for a lad in khakis/crokes top, with the shades on his head, possibly carrying the kindle. Enjoy.

Six pints in six different pubs ain’t for me. Too much moving and not enough time to enjoy a pub.

A DART to Connolly.

2 × in Clearys
2 × in Briodys
2 x  in The Palace

Like ships in the night

The last time I was in the Dame Tavern was when Man Utd played Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final in 2016.

Between that and the racing on it was a right raucous spot with a lot of arseholes around.

The Stags Head is a better bar I think.

I’d warm more towards it anyway.

Is one of them the pub that plays West Tipp finals on repeat?

Has the Palace Bar, Temple Bar prices now?
We used go in there years ago. Three or four stories, isn’t it?
