I haven’t been in it in a few years.
I recall going in before and ordering a pint. Bar man came over straight away with a Guinness which he said had been pulled in error. It looked fine but the barman said if I didn’t like it let him know and he’d get me another one.
It was the finest. I like that soundness in barmen - rare in Dublin.

Martin is one of the soundest barmen in Dublin. Genuinely interested in talking to you and remembers you when you come in again.

I somehow ended up in there the night before an All Ireland final.
Mayo were in it. Carnage. Young fellas twisted and no one to throw them out.
Anyway one of them comes to the bar. He did something to annoy Peter anyway. Peter reached out and hits your man a slap! The young fella was stunned, then tried to respond verbally, realised he was locked and shuffled away.

If lads get a bit too rowdy or start dancing on tables, Peter usually starts fucking ice cubes at them and it generally works a treat.
