Lots of children can’t sleep with excitement in the run up to Christmas, mate. Asking for a surprise in your Santa letter probably magnified it for you this year.
Don’t go the tablets route. Exercise, winddown routine and diet all can be tweaked to help.
exercise and a danger wank should sort you out
Thanks horse
Try the exercise route. If you see no improvement go have a chat with your GP and discuss options. Tablets are a bad road to go down. Having said that, you need sleep to be able to function. I know some people with insomnia use Melatonin, would be worth mentioning it to GP if you go down that route.
I was the same last night, awake until at least 5.30 or 6am even though had been drinking a good bit all evening until hitting the bed, normally i would sleep well after as much booze so that was i surprise. I’m very anxious about nothing in particular or big, think i must go to a doctor myself after this week is over.
Don’t start taking tablets @maroonandwhite . I did about two years ago and it was a big mistake. The first night is great but you become immune to them and they stop working and I was worse than ever for about 6 months afterwards. Exercise, keep regular hours as much as possible, lavender candle in the room, no iphones or laptops for at least an hour before you try to sleep all helps as does a jump or pull the stomach off yourself if a jump isn’t available. I’m a lot better since I started the above although I still get the Sunday terrors after a big weekend.
wernt you the guy threatening me before? the lavender candlie info diminishes the threat

Same to you, pal.
Try half a bottle of night nurse. Also highly recommended for boring flights.
Personally, I reckon the doctor will do fuck all for you. Try going to bed with a bit of exercise and no drink first. I always find that in the half awake state of the half light, you’re awake enough to worry about things but not quite fully functioning enough for the logical part of your brain to tell you that the worries are unfounded. In the cold light of morning, you realise that the things you were worrying about in the night are actually fairly trivial. It becomes a bit of a vicious circle. Drink kills your sleep. If you drink yourself into a stupour, there is no rest in it either.
If your mind is racing in bed at night a simple effective trick is to have a pen and paper next to the bed. Write down a note about what’s bothering you and how you will deal with it the next day. This tells your sub conscious that the problem is dealt with for now. Has worked a treat for me in the past
weirdo
Valerian root works for me. Awful foul smelling stuff, mind.
Starved… Few potato waffles would sort it.
had 10 hours sleep last night
Had a coffee from Insomnia this morning, delish.
Sorry, pal only seeing this now. That bloody tag function. Anyway, no I don’t pal. However the Lavender candles in Tesco are gone up to €5.45:eek:. I might do a trip into town tomorrow and go candle shopping, see if I can get a better deal than that.
