Have a heavy dose of the flu or a virus of some sorts, have slept maybe 2 hours in the last 4 nights, all 10 or 15 minute doses. I am absolutely jaded here, the eyes are raw in my head and I have a constant throbbing headache behind them which hasn’t subsided in days.
If the doctors doesn’t fill me with strong drugs later I’m gonna be well pissed off

Sounds like you have pressure (pus) built up in the upper sinus cavity. Once this shite manages to make its way out of the cavity you’ll get some relief.
Steaming it for 15 minutes might help.

What sort of banter did you have with him?
Not much they can do as it is viral so anti biotics won’t work. Told me to dose myself with neurofen and paracetamol for today and tomorrow and come back in. Signed off & Bed rest for the week

Hope it doesn’t turn nasty after the virus like mine did. I’m still crocked. Had to steam myself there to loosen up the sinuses. A royal pain in the ass.
Doc I went to last week couldn’t have given less of a fuck. Went something like this.
“It’s a viral infection. I’m going to start you on antibiotics.”
“Will they help the virus?” (acting the stooge, and knowing full well the answer)
“No. Sure don’t take them so. I’ll leave it up to you.”
€50 and 5 days later, I’ve got a secondary infection and am now on antibiotics. I can just picture the smug bastard’s face. Touché doctor. Touché.
I’ve been there many times. I dropped another 100 euro this morning to basically get a consultant to tell me I needed a CAT scan whenever I get my next infection.
3 infections this year, only took antibiotics for the first one. Waste of time. Fought the other infections with garlic, saline ringing and pig ignorance. There is a great sense of success when you beat an infection without an antibiotic.
Prevention is the key to my problems. I may have some from of restricted flow from upper cavity to nose and CT scan should make this clearer.

I have one cure for anything viral/flu related. Blanket on in the spare room. Two baby Jameson in a half tumbler of boiling water. Up to bed. Sweat like a pig for 8 hours. Like a new car next morning
