Iraq / Middle East / Murder Thread
Hamas will never be defeated militarily they can only be removed politically. Preventing food and medicine entering Gaza whilst bombing the shit out of innocent people will ensure they remain in situ.

Israel is doing itself more and more long term damage by the day here. Once Iran gets the bomb theyā€™ll be fully justified in using it and the Iron dome wonā€™t be worth shite then.

The premise of all of this is basically a cover for the Land grab going on in the West bank currently.
i agree with a lot of this apart from a few things

  1. why should israel open its borders for anything to a regeime that will 100% send thru suicide bombers and wants the state destroyed (read theoir charter) ? , at least if Hamas toned this down then Israel night open its border for supplies, no one ever asks the question why these supplies arent taken thru the Egyptian - Gaza border at Rafa? i presume i dont need to answer that question , such was the great ā€œrevolutionā€ in Egypt , oh how the rebelled allright
It is also a perfect situation for hamas that the civilan population remain like this, it gives Hamas a reason to thrive, all ā€œaidā€ money sent from Qatar and Saudi can be used to purchase arms and is a breeding ground for recruitment.
No civilian population should have to live like that in Gaza, i agree, Israel must accept responsibility for closing the sea traffic and also the actions of the settlement building in the WB and also they need to bite the bullet and begin to negotiate with Hamas

  2. how do you propose to remove Hamas politically?
the last election there in 2007 that Hamas ā€œwonā€ they went on to murder and imprison the opposition and burn down their officesā€¦ They are in virtual state of war with Fatah who are the Palestinian Authority in the WB and see them as quislings and traitors because they want peace.

there also and never was any bomb, this is a joint invention of Netanyahu and Ahmadenijad, both of them just use this to mug the UN off

how is the invasion going mickee? are the camel jockeys getting mugged off?

Really Mickee? Have you any link to that?

All Iā€™ve seen so far is Israel bombing Hamas members entering Israel via a tunnel. I think youā€™re inventing an extremely benign version of events.

And when an attempt is made to bring supplies in by sea (you may know Gaza has a coastline) the Israelis board a ship and shoot up a load of the crew.

why do you think they were entering via a tunnel? to bring some bread for a fucking shabbat dinner tonight?
what were the IDF meant to do? wait and see were they just random tourists coming out of a hole in the ground
christ Rockoā€¦
ive no desire to present a benign version of anything, it is what it is

hereā€™s a link anyway

sid i have already said that is very wrong, have a look thru my posts and i have said this is a contribution to the prison camp like situation that has developed here, it is inexcusable.

i dont want to digress here but i wonder why and aid ship never tried to bring aid to the 2,000 palestinians that Assad starved and murdered? there were no protests about that, i wonder why?

Thereā€™s only one real reason for the situation that has developed and that is Israel continually taking the piss since its foundation.

Also Israel funded Hamas in its early days in an attempt to destabilise the PLO.

Stay safe over there, mate.

I think the point being your point that they arrested these after the ceasefire. When in fact they just killed and bombed them and the timing of when it happened seems to be before the ceasefire. Correct me if Iā€™m wrong though.

And seeing as you are around now mickee, is the whole basis of the Palestinians rage that Israel have forced themselves into their agreed borders and have divided their land? I read some nutjob jew from England today and her thoughts. Its actually mental some of the guff they believe and spout out justifying the killing of Palestinians. I agree with you that they need to defend themselves, but they are defending themselves and then going a step much further and inflicting a lot of damage in return.

Anything to be said for the Palestiniansā€™ right to defend themselves?

Eh, that just proves my point.

The IDF did not arrest these guys. They bombed them. Itā€™s a little different.

A self clamping. Thatā€™s embarrassing.

It all just seems to me that it is a quest for land grabbing and getting rid of the Palestinians. I understand mickees point that it is unbearable to be always listening and reacting to the bombs being sent over from Palestine, but the sheer carnage that Israel are throwing back is mental and indiscriminate. The Israeli propaganda then of Hamas sending innocent people out as human shields is a load of tosh. 4 chaps playing soccer on a beach is not sending out targets to be hit.

Israel claiming this human shield nonsense would be like if the Brits had carpet bombed Ballymurphy and claimed that the IRA were using the people as human shields. Utter fucking nonsense.

The Israelis explicitly told the people of Gaza to go to the beach to avoid being hit too.

Thatā€™s as total a clamping as Iā€™ve seen here. I suspect @Rocko will have to rebrand after this.

No itā€™s not.
The drama queen has done a Davy Fitz on it and lost all the goodwill by going to far and being exposed as the fraud he is.

If you changed ā€œbeing arrestedā€ to ā€œbeing bombed and killedā€ and then changed ā€œfour hours after the ceasefireā€ to ā€œseven hours before the ceasefireā€, then yes, that is a clamping.

i dont know where we are going with this, a bunch of lads entered israel via a hole in the ground armed to the teeth , based on previous form it is safe to say they were going to target civilians, they were stopped from doing so and lives were saved, if that annoys people then you need to take a serious look at yourself.

anyway, very decent article here from a man who is ahead of his time,
we need more like him to sort this mes out
