This army service the Israelis have to do is a massive contributory factor to the increasingly radical attitudes in Israel, IMO. Kids go into the army at 18 and given Israel’s recent history will generally be involved in some war or other during their three years in the army. Naturally they emerge completely indoctrinated and it will take them a long time to become more balanced or well adjusted individuals, if ever, especially in Israeli society. If they even moved the age to 23 when kids had been through college or gained a bit of life experience they might be better able to handle things.

I remember being at a party in an Israeli hostel one time, most of the Israelis there had been involved in the last Gaza conflict (having read the Goldstone report there was a decent chance some of these guys were involved in or were around some fucked up events), there were a few alright ones but most of them were nuts, suspicious and on the edge of aggression all the time. They come out of their army service and take off travelling taking drugs and getting fucked up wherever they go, they seem traumatised. One cunt insisted on burning the ear off me on the rights and wrongs of their conflicts, bit my tongue for a long time but eventually he started trotting out things like “the Palestinians are guerrillas and all guerrillas are terrorists”. I pointed out Ireland won it’s independence through guerrilla warfare and that that wasn’t terrorism and I was proud that we had won it. His expression showed that he had never been confronted with a counterpoint like that in his life, he had no response. It summed up his outlook, for him the Palestinians were not really people and everything Israel did would always be justified.

Anyway he simply would not fuck off and ruined my chances with the girl who had brought me and my group back to the hostel who wanted to talk about anything but the army. Horrible little bastard.
Did you ask him how Israel won its independence?

Through terrorism (I deliberately left the inverted commas out there)?

Nope. A hostel full of drunk/coked up Israelis just out of army service is not the place to articulate these type of viewpoints.

Are you nuts? It’s the very best place. Those cunts are useless without a gun.

Sure didn’t we invent guerrilla warfare?

Over 100 killed in Gaza in the last 24 hours. Fucking scumbags are going to massacre them.

is mickee still alive? that is the most important issue, one of the most senior men on this forum

Hasnt logged in since 4.28 yesterday…

Hamas claim they have kidnapped an Israeli solider.

You think its Mickee?

No, they’re claiming they kidnapped all of him.

You’re joking there, twice, right?

Well done captain obvious. Unfortunately a lot of clowns here probably took that as absolute seriousness. The slightly less retarded probably missed the sarcasm but thought what a fucking gobshite. The rest of them, which is the majority, were repeating it down the pub all weekend.

The superiority complex some Cork cunts have never ceases to amaze me.

What a fucking backtrack

@Rocko, we have your new quote of the week.

He took two savage clampings over the weekend in fairness. He does’t know if he is coming or going

If he was boxing the ref would have stopped it by now.

Ah I would have asked your corner to throw in the towel.

No we didn’t. Guerrilla war was used by the Spanish in the Peninsular War in Napoleonic times. And was a feature of the Boer War.

What about the rest of us who ignore most of your rubbish?
