Iraq / Middle East / Murder Thread

anyone drawing parallels between Northern Ireland and this mess needs their head examined anyway

These are the kind of lads who protest, for months on end, about the right to fly a flag which has absolutely no representation of their country on it, bar St. Patrick’s Cross the patron saint of their enemies.

Logic wouldn’t be high on their list of attributes.

They were warned 17 times by the UN that a school they bombed yesterday was housing refugees, but still bombed it, killing 15.

The Israelis have gone off at the deep end. They’re at a point where they’re shelling humanitarian shelters and turning sleeping kids into bloody smears in front of their parents with 87% popular support.

They’re just killing people with abandon now and tossing off an excuse that there were “rockets in the vicinity” any time anyone asks them what the fuck they’re doing.

When a state is firing on designated protection zones and killing civilians by the score, with 87% popular support, it’s hard to avoid the conclusion that it has become utterly psychotic. They just look insane.

Prick of a spokesman on the news this morning grunting that if there was an error on their part they would apologise, as if to say “what more do you want us to do?”

Israel is a sick sick country with a deluded population. This is nothing more than a land grab. 17 Israelis have been killed by Hamas rockets in the last 5 years. A number of problems I have with the Israeli factory of spin.

If you disagree with these attacks you are anti Semitic or you support terrorism.
If you think Gaza should be able to trade and believe in an end to the blockade you are labelled a fascist.
If you are not complaining about Syrians being slaughtered you are against the state of Israel and again you are anti Semitic.
If you don’t think Israel should defend themselves, then you don’t believe Israel have the right to exist.
Because countless innocent women and children are being killed, They lead you to believe they are being used as human shields.

The hypocrisy and double standards of our own media and government has being staggering. Thankfully social media has overtaken written print and agenda laden broadcasters and now you can access the truth and facts for yourself without reading biased diatribes of someone else’s interpretation of the facts.

So what, Israel will become even more vindictive and disproportionate in it’s response? At least they’ve targeted and killed soldiers rather than civilians.

This is nothing new, this is how Israel operates. As soon as they started this conflict this was how it was going to go. They are not in any new territory here, nothing that has happened is vaguely surprising, which is sad.

Hamas have been targeting israeli civilians since 2007! what do you think is the purpose of the rockets and tunnels?

Whats worse is you know the cunts have the technology to land bombs on a six pence if they wanted (might struggle to find a six pence in these metric days though). They are at best indiscriminately shelling everywhere and at worst deliberately shelling these UN shelters.

The UN should be disbanded at this stage, if they aren’t even willing to condemn a country that’s bombing their own workers whats the fucking point of them.

I used past tense, meaning to indicate in this instance.

Don’t blame “the UN”, blame USA, they’re the ones wielding the veto on action here. I often think that the only way Israel will be brought to heel is by an American president strong enough to approve UN action for the UN to occupy all Palestinian territory as peacekeepers and defend it vigorously against any violence by Hamas or Israel both.

The only logical explanation as to Mickees unflinching support of pro apartheid Israel is that he is obviously over there on one of those state sponsored Scholarship things, where for posting pro Israel propaganda he gets to go to college for free, the soup taking cunt.

Such a President will never be elected.

We’ll be lucky if the US don’t elect a right wing lunatic next time out, never mind someone who’ll stand up to Israel.

WW3 is coming, the only question is whether it’ll be the Arabs the Russians or the Chinese the US take on.

Obama made the most balanced or “anti-Israel” noises of any president yet. Sadly it appears he had been ground down by politics like Tommy Carcetti.

Netanyahu: “I think the Israeli people understand now what I always say: that there cannot be a situation, under any agreement, in which we relinquish security control of the territory west of the River Jordan.”

Fairly categorical - there will never be a Palestinian state.

So much for Israel recognising Palestine’s right to exist.

My Outline for a Solution in Gaza

Clear and concise, the steps towards achieving quiet in Gaza.

Ultimatum – One warning from the Prime Minister of Israel to the enemy population, in which he announces that Israel is about to attack military targets in their area and urges those who are not involved and do not wish to be harmed to leave immediately. Sinai is not far from Gaza and they can leave. This will be the limit of Israel’s humanitarian efforts. Hamas may unconditionally surrender and prevent the attack.

Attack – Attack the entire ‘target bank’ throughout Gaza with the IDF’s maximum force (and not a tiny fraction of it) with all the conventional means at its disposal. All the military and infrastructural targets will be attacked with no consideration for ‘human shields’ or ‘environmental damage’. It is enough that we are hitting exact targets and that we gave them advance warning.

Siege – Parallel to the above, a total siege on Gaza. Nothing will enter the area. Israel, however, will allow exit from Gaza. (Civilians may go to Sinai, fighters may surrender to IDF forces).

Defense – Any place from which Israel or Israel’s forces were attacked will be immediately attacked with full force and no consideration for ‘human shields’ or ‘environmental damage’.

Conquer – After the IDF completes the “softening” of the targets with its fire-power, the IDF will conquer the entire Gaza, using all the means necessary to minimize any harm to our soldiers, with no other considerations.

Elimination- The GSS and IDF will thoroughly eliminate all armed enemies from Gaza. The enemy population that is innocent of wrong-doing and separated itself from the armed terrorists will be treated in accordance with international law and will be allowed to leave. Israel will generously aid those who wish to leave.

Sovereignty – Gaza is part of our Land and we will remain there forever. Liberation of parts of our land forever is the only thing that justifies endangering our soldiers in battle to capture land. Subsequent to the elimination of terror from Gaza, it will become part of sovereign Israel and will be populated by Jews. This will also serve to ease the housing crisis in Israel. The coastal train line will be extended, as soon as possible, to reach the entire length of Gaza.

According to polls, most of the Arabs in Gaza wish to leave. Those who were not involved in anti-Israel activity will be offered a generous international emigration package. Those who choose to remain will receive permanent resident status. After a number of years of living in Israel and becoming accustomed to it, contingent on appropriate legislation in the Knesset and the authorization of the Minister of Interior, those who personally accept upon themselves Israel’s rule, substance and way of life of the Jewish State in its Land, will be offered Israeli citizenship.
