Iraq / Middle East / Murder Thread

The Taliban seem to hate kids being educated. They are nothing but vile cowardly cunts. The only way they will be stopped is for the Muslim world to turn against them.
I expect a somewhat co-ordinated world wide attack of loads of small incidents like yesterday.
Christmas Eve or something wouldnā€™t surprise me at all
Doubt co-ordinated. But there are a whole range of groups under the ISIS/Al Qaeda umbrellas. So anything could go off.

Unlikely. Itā€™s mainsteam opinion in many parts of the Muslim world.

nuke the camel jockeys into the stone age, every last one of them, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette, the world would be a far better place without muslims and all the offshoot towel heads

Possibly so, but it will need the Muslim world to turn against it nonetheless to die out. I actually suspect that the majority of the Muslim world are ordinary folks trying to go about their business, more worried about paying the bills and feeding the family than all of this hatred and bile. It is just that the fundamentalists have the whip hand sufficient to cow and subjugate the silent majority. As the law seems predicated on religious interpretation, often by said fundamentalists, the average joe has no defence or means, other than to plough his furrow in silence and pay lip service to this. I would imagine that a couple of hundred years of the Internet is the best hope for a more normal society based upon principals of general fairness rather than on an ancient text of dubious provenance, and widely open to interpretation.
I often thought that the best strategy if one did want to democratise the Middle East (my preference would have been to pay them for their oil, and stay the hell out of their affairs), would have been to provide free sky tv, broadcasting mainly Beverly Hills 90210 on a loop. That would hasten the onset of western decadence and fecklessness better than armoured cars and tanks and guns.

The Palistanis are understandably pissed off

maybe just maybe thats the fuckin problem you half wit, you brits and the americans white man burden of bringing your form of democracy to the world, stay out of it, stop killing people and stop invading countries you fucktard and these problems wont arise

Iā€™m not sure you understand social media fitzy and the impact it may have. the hundreds of thousands of ā€˜retweetsā€™ of your ones tweet (incorrect) has developed into a world wide thing, and as I already said, the reaction is a mixed one. If you really believe the media would have the stories of people talking about Cronulla Mark II or that all the boat people should fuck off, then you dont get media. Of course they are going to lead with the good bits of the Iā€™llridewithyou movement. Everyone is going to do what they can to diffuse the situation and ensure there is no further racial tension. Its good that there are people with some sense who are not reacting, and I agree, its the best way to handle it. If they kick off, it will make things a whole lot worse.

But if you seriously think that its a minority that are racial fuckwits and that there wont be any further tension from this with pressure on the government, with the likes of Pauline Hanson and her right wing ways or Nick Adams and his drivel and the amount of people who are easily swayed, then I dont know. The fact that it needed a massive concerted effort to not be bigoted and racist even says it all.

Hopefully it doesnt kick off there. Hopefully the social media and print media campaigns will help things and keep people calm there. It sounds that in the main, it is working and that things are fine, which is great, and is the right way to deal with it. But there are a lot of really bigoted and racist people there, and it wouldnt take much for something serious to reignite a hatred campaign.

So you want to kill 1.6 billion people?

It would sort out a serious amount of problems

Nuking all the oil?

It would be a logistical nightmare though

So, was Monday not serious? Yes, there are a major amount of racist fuckwits in this country, but Iā€™d say that proportion would be more prevalent in European countries. Where are they though? Since Monday, I have not heard, whether on the media or anecdotally, of one incident of vandalism of a mosque, graffitti, intimidation etc. The majority of people here just do not want this shit to become a divisive thing for the country. One thing the Libs have done (in an entirely fucked up way) is to short circuit the need for a far right party, because they are taking that limelight with their frankly disgusting treatment of refugees and the odd xenophobic comment from a cabinet member (the Ban the Burka in Parliament thing being an example). Hanson died a death and there is no far right party anywhere near the mainstream now. Abbott could have used this to come out with his Team Australia and atack on our way of life shite (which is code for we hate fucking Muslims or anyone who isnā€™t white) but to his credit, whether itā€™s because heā€™s reading the mood of the people correctly, or because he genuinely believes it, he has been calm and considered in his comments. Iā€™m still not quite sure what your point is Gman, all Iā€™m saying is that Iā€™m very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the reaction to this. On Monday I was pretty fearful this would to attacks on innocent people all over the country, but it hasnā€™t, quite the opposite. Maybe there is hope for Australia, maybe all Australians are not in fact arseholes. (should be an interesting reaction to that comment here).

Of all developed countries Australia is probably the only one worse than the U.S. for treatment of refugees and minorities.

+1

a racist backwater

Read the post again, slowly, and then fuck off.

I was chatting to a friend of mine who is in the Special Branch (or whatever the English equivalent is) in Birmingham. He was saying that the next step for the Islamic extremists here in Birmingham is to grab an off duty copper and behead them just like Lee Rigby in London.

Since the Trojan Horse scandal the police have been calledto the likes of Small Heath, Sparkbrook, sparkhill and bordsley couple of times a week to raid places. He says itā€™s frightening whatā€™s going on and not being reported in the press.

Dubous, untrustworthy sources have confirmed that King Abdullah the towelhead of Saudi Arabia has died.

There he is, with a towel on his head, meeting the pope.
