Theyâve lost the cops vote, most of the civil servants by giving them 20e a week but giving Bertie and all the FFers 40 a week under Haddington road. Thatâs before you factor any of the other shit in, and then thereâs DinnyâŚ
I think youâre all wrong here boys. Middle Ireland votes with their bellys. Think of the checklist of your average voter. âHas he raped anyone?â No. Are we being told enda occurs well occasionally? Yes. But, are people âfeeling the recovery?â They think they are. Under 6 gp care will be a goldmine for this government. Therefore. A shitload of ff/fence sitters votes come the day. Comfortably the biggest party in the next Dail.
I cant decide whether FG have been arrogant or naieve in this term of office.
All the fucking egits had to do was steady the ship and stay away from controversy. Instead they have ploughed into controversy after controversy. We all know the shambles that is Irish Water. Set up by that arrogant prick Hogan. Kenny should have sent him to Brussels as soon as he picked up his seal of office.
Then Shatter through his own self loving gets himself shafted
The childrens hospital. Dennis OBriens name still hangs over FG like a bad smell.
Even the latest decision on Aer Arann has fucked them up no end. And they still piss on us. Its like a modern day version of animal farm.
They have managed to not just split the voting public but have fractured it in such a way that there is now a 30-40% chance you could have more independents and small party Tds in the next dail.
Much an all as he may hate it, Kenny may yet have to bend over for Lucinda.
Didnt the minister for somtin or other award the contract for carrying the aran islanders to some helicopter crowd this week
Holy fucking war among the natives. Msybe not a huge thing in the greater scheme of things, but a fucking stupid thing to do in the run up to an election
They just couldnât control themselves when they got into power. Enda is fucking poison, the man canât make a statement or appear on tv without looking like a fucking idiot.
Yeah basically the contract for the air service to the islands is up for renewal and seemingly the minister is going to award it to a helicopter company. The natives are up in arms because it means that the air service will be on the other side of galway at least 90 minutes from the ferry terminal, were as the current air service is beside the ferry port. Then there is the issue if helicopters flying in bad weather.
The current air base is a good half hour from the ferry terminal if not more. It also drops you nowhere near the ferry port on the Island side. You drive by it on the way out to the terminal on Galway side. Why is having both close to each other seen as important? It would be like people complaining that Dublin Port is too far away from Dublin Airport. Or am I missing something obvious?
Presume if it was a helicopter service there would be more flexibility about where it could land on the Island side too which is more important than where it lands on Galway side?
I am just going on what I heard from the islanders on the radio over the last week and they are giving out about the distance between helicopter base and the ferry on the mainland side. I dont know about you but I wouldnât fancy flying out to the islands on a stormy day in a helicopter.
The plane that was in use could only carry 6-8 passengers so I doubt its much better to be honest. Iâm sure if I was bothered Iâd read up on the full details but its much more fun debating it and relying on half-truths.
