Thatās if he did have sense or the balls to do it. This is why the smaller party always gets hammered in elections, its because they go into the government with the mantra we are going to keep the big guys in check and all that happens is they end up being the fall guys and end up having to face the media. By right Labour should have walked out on this government a long time ago, they had plenty of opportunities to do it and still keep their heads held high but in the end they sold out and they will be hammered for it.
We never will
The Social Democrats are just a collection of self promoting individuals whoād drop any suggestion of party discipline if there was a hint of getting a sound bite on the news.
They have a couple running in Limerick, one in the city and one in the county http://socialdemocrats.ie/people/
I think theyād be far better off in opposition. Power straight away could ruin them.
If Michael Martin has any sense and enough seats heāll prop up FG in Government and bring it down at the first opportunity when Enda and Co do something stupid.
The one in Limerick city did public admin in UL as such I cannot consider her for my vote.
Willie was in the red hen on Saturday night and the birds were hanging off him. A man beloved by the people.
Yes Iād agree with this. Move your vote to the County and go for the more reliable HPSS graduate instead.

Iām reconsidering my support for the social democrats entirely.

Hard to walk away from the State cars though.

FF would go into government with the Nazis to regain power.
A FF -FG coalition then

Canāt see SF getting three in up here in Donegal - the Independents running will take a lot from them.
Also would be surprised to see them get one elected in Wexford with FF bouncing back a little and def can see FG losing one seat there.
Cant see the 2 FG for Kilkenny either. Hogan did a lot of damage there while he was in office.
Doherty and MacLochlainn both have huge personal votes, probably a quota each, and could well get a third candidate over the line if they manage transfers well. I expect it to be between the third SF candidate and Thomas Pringle for the last seat.
In Wexford Mick Wallace and Brendan Howlin should still both be elected but will have reduced votes, a good portion of which Iād expect to go to Sinn Fein.
