Ireland politics (Part 2)

SF and their supporters continually say FG and FF are the same so they can hardly complain if the two combined can form a government

Of course they weren’t. Occasional spells in opposition are a good thing. Long, endless spells of it though are disheartening. The current arrangement suit the main pair and the “cosy little arrangement” so despised by Albert Reynolds is likely to become the norm.

(B): 90 seats ….dream on. 50 and above are a really good day in the current times.

He’s a junior minister and his remit is overseas aid and the diaspora or something. He was at a PR event in Croker during the week to announce some supports for foreign based GAA clubs and the fucking size of him. He must have a 56” inch waist based on my calculations.

And FF FG play into their hands when the jump into bed with each other rather than go into government. What is the difference between FF and FG?

Why are you upset about parties you think are the same going into government together?

Mehaul got to meet the leader of the free world today

The cunt should be ashamed of himself for a tweet like that. DeValera is turning in his grave.

He should be more ashamed for continually saying the Provo’s had no right to take up arms and defend communities from an occupying force, unlike his stance on Ukraine. Consistent hypocrisy from politicians of all hue in the western world lead to people like Trump being elected

Throw up a few quotes there. Given that he’s “continually” (Your term) it shouldn’t be difficult.

He said on RTÉ when talking about SF that men like John Hume took the correct path. More than once .

Im not digging up quotes for you . Despite your ff background I know you know it’s true.

That’s exactly the same alright :joy:

Nice of Bojo to invite Mícheál over for a poke around his wine cellar.

It is indeed. The fiest was his reasoning for the position taken on second quote. Might go over your head though.

Did you find the quote then?

Of course he didn’t. But his sweeping condemnation looked good.
Too many people are wooed by soundbites, jingoistic comments and anti-establishment utterances.

Are you genuinely trying to suggest whether I dig up a quote or not defines if Michael Martin said that. The same man can tell the board what some no mark ff councilor in Roscommon backed in the grand National yet can’t believe his dear leader isn’t as republican as him….

To be fair that’s a fairly fucking basic assumption.

Some of us watch or hear something and remember it.

I’m not surprised Michael Martins hyprocisy needs to be evidenced. It’s actually edgy on a scale this place befits almost.

Supposedly.
