Ireland politics (Part 2)

Itā€™s a done deal as the wonderful Holly Cairns takes the captains armband on behalf of the SocDems. This, I fear, will be a short lived venture as Iā€™d fear for her capacity to retain her seat next time out.
She may very well emulate that other comely maiden Lucinda in bursting into the limelight before having their flames quenched for ever.
In Hollyā€™s case the likelihood of SF taking her seat may well become a reality.

The country that wore masks when they were told by NPHET. A coup? Led by poorly paid soldiers :grinning:

What Iā€™m interested in is who is going to lead this prospective left-wing government given that People Before Profit have already told us that none of Sinn Fein, Labour, the Green Party or the Social Democrats are in any way left wing.

This latest controversy about transgender education in schools
Does anyone know what exactly is on the curriculum?

Iā€™m sure it wonā€™t stop them commenting one way or another.

Iā€™ve seen a good bit about it but havenā€™t seen the actual content quoted anywhere. Or how that content is broken down by age. Surely thats crucial to whether you support kids learning about it or not

Peadar Toibin wouldnā€™t have any particular ideology of course.

Norma is getting down to work now.

Holly Cairns seems adept at getting onto the news
