He actually isnāt the worst.
You can criticise Harris but what do you mean by āhow Ireland worksā? This seems to be one of those social media hashtags peddled by the pirate oddballs.
He is not a man from privilege. He went to a regular school. He didnāt do a networky degree course like law.
Iām certainly dubious of him and donāt find him impressive, but Iām not sure what this is supposed to evidence? It isnāt some insider like you get in the U.Kā¦ He worked his ass off to get here, like it or not.
If anything it is a sign of the times in terms of people being willing to go into politics. We are quickly losing the traditional types like teachers and lawyers, let alone attracting in engineers etc.
Southsiders are better off outside of Fine Gael.
@Aertel220 will likely shortly confirm that law wasnāt an option. He was supposed to be an avid debater. Iām not giving him everyman kudos for that!
4 minutes - impressive response time to hitch the wagon and start circling it
Yeah I donāt think there was a hope that he was making law related courses on the CAO.
Just pointing out that he isnāt from one of those network heavy courses.
We donāt have an insiders and outsiders system, no matter what people like to say.

Is that not a contradiction?
Nasty stuff of a Tuesday

Heās also never had a job in his life
The gardai have long been a mess, itās not something that can be fixed overnight. Deportation orders good point, thatās the department of justice for you. The Garda intelligence post is an interim fix, sheās already a serving Garda, been caused by a department of finance problem, odd one to blame on the justice minister. Also hard to see how the riots are solely her problem, an eruption of a problem stored up over time.
Interestingly, the riot grew out of far right racist groups egging each other on on social media and following on from their scummy gatherings outside asylum seeker accommodation. They were never checked for their social media bile and their confidence grew. McEntee was bringing in hate speech legislation that would have tackled most of that social media content and would have been a weapon against that movement. She was actually the only minister doing anything to tackle the far right.
Being a minister is a pretty serious job.
No itās not
Itās a harder and more demanding job than most people will ever do, silly to think otherwise.
Thatās a fair and reasonable criticism of him in terms of his lack of real world experience.
I think the biggest hit on him is that he hasnāt had an economic role. He doesnāt have a real sense how the economy works, if I had to guess.

Justice minister, like it or not, succeeds or fails on law and order and you canāt say mcentee is succeeding.
Sheās going for self sctualisation policies whilst ignoring the bread and butter stuff. Thereās legislation that can deal with the social media stuff. A lot of political capital wasted on the hate speech legislation, which is another NGO led policy.
Heās clearly wumming with that last paragraph. Your worse to bother
There isnāt legislation to deal with the social media stuff. Obviously. The only related legislation it over half a century old. What youāve stated there is simply wrong, an untruth.
It was the only initiative across all of government to tackle the out of control bananas social media shit that has led to far greater problems, like the riot.
Itās actually one of the biggest examples of idiocy in this country that people that want āmore law and orderā are against the hate speech legislation and donāt see the link.
Of course youāre against it though, youāre against any sort of measure to tackle racism or the like.
Youāre.
We already have existing legislation to punish people who say anything racist, homophobic or grossly offensive.
A teenager in Kerry appeared in court and was convicted for racially abusing Ian Wright online. If people are spouting offensive comments on social media they can be punished.
These hate speech laws are just pure deflection. Apply the current laws, and not these empty sound bites of hate speech, which she canāt even define.
McEntee has allowed law and order on the streets disintegrate to an unimaginable level. Dublin City centre is an absolute dump now. Open drug dealing. Open drug use. Open defecation on the streets. Rampant begging. Regular assaults, including in day time. Thatās all on her.
