You can be guaranteed he’ll be doing green stuff but not doing green stuff.

Michael Lowry has sought to clarify matters arising from allegations made by Kwasi Doherty under DĂĄil privilege.
Doherty, the mouthy fucker, may come to regret his decision to go after Lowry in the manner he did.

Why would he? Reminding the country that FFG are getting in to bed and backslapping with crooks is good for SF.

I genuinely don’t understand why FFG didn’t go into these negotiations with the independents and say grand lads, happy to deal with ye, but not Lowry.

Lowry obviously has some serious dirt on MM.SF will drag this out for weeks.Lowry should have kept the head down fixing potholes in Tipp.

Even better, it brought martins words on Lowry after the tribunal to the attention of a new generation. It’s lose lose for FFG, but they wanted to keep a hold on power, it will seriously weaken them this time and they could be the mudguard for the rural group

Can’t understand it myself. Creating an unnecessary circus, which the media and opposition were rightly never going to let slide.

I dunno about that. I think Lowry corralled the independents quickly and made himself central to it. But they could easily have prised them apart. It seems such a schoolboy mistake for a politician as experienced as Martin to make. It’ll follow them around for the rest of the government term when they held all the negotiating power and could have taken the high road. Maybe it does matter to most of the electorate but it matters to a lot of people. On top of that they’ve managedd to bring the rest of the opposition together with the independents/opposition episode. All in all an inauspicious start.

A few lads here still wet around the ears when it comes to Senior Hurling.

Lowry will eviscerate Doherty when he gets the chance on the floor of the Dail. Doherty will be deeply sorry he ever opened his mouth.

Lowry has been in the Dail for close to 40 years and topped the poll with a big surplus for seven General Election’s in a row. He has as much a mandate to discuss government formation as anyone else.

HE FIXHED THE ROADS

Doherty only spoke the truth did he not?

Lowry took a bribe to the tune of half a million while he was a minister. Whatever mud he flings back at Doherty it wont change the fact that he’s a scumbag that took a bribe.

Lowry making out like a bandit for decades and lads giving him No1 cause he sorted out a few pothole/passports.

Agreed

You’ve a lot to learn.

That being said it’s a little amusing to see the Shinners push the line that no-one cares about the troubles/IRA atrocities anymore because it’s all a long time in the past but LOWRY LOWRY LOWRY is an outrage now even though it was a long time in the past.

I suppose blatant hypocrisy comes easy to them and it’s easier because they’re mostly selling to simpletons

Guessing Lowry was seen as someone who could put some order on the Independents

I’d say MM or Si could not face many hours listening to Boxer….then Verona….then some other roaster
