Ireland v Denmark 18/11/2019

The Brian Boru thought they’d do a roaring trade too but apparently there are no Danish fans there - and I don’t think the Bernard Shaw opening up across the road has anything to do with it

Childbirth is a zero sum game

One life begins and another one ends

This is the beginning of the rest of your life
You better start movin’ like you’re running out of time
The realisation coming over your mind
That it should be a canter
If you could just find the answer
You know it could be a canter
If you were just a wee bit less of a wanker
Mare’ than half ae’ the time

I’d prefer that song over Belter so I would

No O’Dowda in match day squad.
Little bit of a surprise?

No Dowda bout it

All good so far bud!

Its going to be a cold one tonight. My Ireland v Denmark half/half scarf from November 2017 is being rolled out.

Yeah, but to coin an old football phrase…he’s flattered to deceive a bit when given game time for us over the past couple of years. Didn’t he start the away leg of the play off against them this time 2 years ago out of nowhere? He looked to be coming into his own at club level a while after that but has had at least one, if not two, long term injuries since then.

@Big_Dan_Campbell have you done your opposition analysis yet? What’s their team likely to be? What happened that tricky customer Sisto who played the ties against us a couple of years ago?

we’ll be lucky to have a shot off target
I envisage a 0/2 reversal unfortunately

So 2-0 to us then. Lovely.

They had some journeyman 29 year old striker playing up front against Gibraltar who plays for Lech Poznan.

For a team with a lot of fairly average players I’m surprised that Christiansen and Dolberg aren’t nailed on starters for them. I hope they start that big lump Cornelius up front, he started at home against the Swiss, Duffy will manage him fairly easily.

I presume Robinson will be starting this time?

I was (dangerously) assuming they only played around 7 of their recognised starters the other night and that the striker from the other night wouldn’t feature. They also have the pony tailed Poulsen fella to play upfront or as a wide attacker.

Careful there’ll be a delegation of weirdos waiting to meet you on Bachelors walk

I’ve not seen much of John Egan. Apparently Everton want to sign him and he’s part of a rock solid Sheff United defence, but he’s always been a bit meh anytime I’ve seen him. Need a big game from him tonight, he’ll be well tested I’d imagine.
