Ireland v Denmark 18/11/2019

A great nation. We in Waterford have a great affinity with them having been named by them and of course pillaged by them. You’ve undersold their contribution as well, what with Roskilde, Bang and Olufsen, Whigfield, Noma Restaurant, Hans Christian Andersen, those designer chairs, that hippy commune and so on.

As an aside and re the British Occupied Ireland side, you often see quarter wits (I’m really going with this term) on twitter lamenting how we don’t play like the north. They had 0 (zero) shots on target in a must win game on Saturday night. I hope we don’t replicate that tonight.

We will ram it down their throats.

And the Tollund man.

Someday I will go to Aarhus and see his peat brown head

Is there much difficulty with the war office in terms of getting to go to the game and having a few pints? People keep telling me my life is over in January.

Georgia in Croker March 2009 I think it was

I won’t be attending tonight but I do hope to attend the away play-off in March, which would be my first Eire game to attand since the away play-off against Denmark in Copenhagen in November 2017

I like the Danes the. Want to knock 7 shades of white out of them this evening but they’re alright sorts

The Danes seem to have a strong travelling support

Of course, they’re Vikings

The Viking Splash tour will do a roaring trade

Not at all, pal. It just requires a bit of cooperation, communication, organisation and love. I’m very good at all of these.
