Ireland v Denmark 18/11/2019

Fffffffuuuuuuuuccccccckkkkkk

Fucking typical.

McCarthy ruined Connolly

We don’t need him until the tournament finals start. We should be beating Denmark by a few goals next week without him.

Are you serious or taking the piss?

We’ll snake a 1 nil.
McGoldrick 75’

Troy Parrott & Jack Byrne confirmed to start tomorrow.

I’d say they’re only starting to boost attendances & get the Rovers crowd in.

It’s not the worst team. When McGoldrick and Duffy were doubts it looked like we’d be in trouble. Whelan has been brutal for Hearts but has been fine for Ireland in fairness. Hope Brady looks sharp tomorrow so he can be a viable bench option on Monday if required.

Hourihane will keep his place based on set pieces alone, Brady will replace him after 60mins.
Wonder is Big Mick toying with wing backs as it potentially gets best out of Dock-erty and Stevens.

I hope Ireland respect the haka tonight.

Is that fella who could barely get a game with Limerick FC a few years back still togging out for the All Whites?

I was asked the same thing this morning :joy:

I can reveal that Mr. Cameron is not in the squad. Would have been nice to actually see him play.

He was never the same after he done the auld cruciate.

Fine in the second half against Switzerland, horrific in the first half, and in total against Georgia.

You can never know with him. He can be decent and a leader or he could be horrific. He’s actually in a critically important position which can dictate whether we keep the ball and build possession which is crucial for me, or Duffy is allowed to thump it forward which he is so fond of doing.

That’s why Hoolahan was so impressive for us. His natural instinct was to get on this ball and play. He wasn’t the best in the world at it but it made such a difference to our team - attack wise and defensively. It’s also clear how a journeyman can look decent simply because of his commitment to play that way.

I must confess that I haven’t seen much of Jack Byrne but what I have seem perhaps he is that type of player? We really are crying out for it.

Was hoping James McCarthy would have been fit/ready for this game and take over Whelans role.

That was always the hope but apart from the Italy match in 2016 he never really delivered for us, well in such a way to suggest he could take on that vital position.

Hendrick was also a hope, if more further forward. He really has been a let down since his brilliant form in the Euros - frustrating thing is that he is very capable.
