Spock is an unlucky general

Mike Maignan is a big upgrade on Lloris for the French. The ref let the French off the hook with a couple of soft frees at the end there. Stopped our momentum.

Ogbene is a good lad. Hopefully a better team takes a chance on him .

That’s ridiculous from him, who ever heard of a good goalkeeper with a Galway surname.

Yeah. That’s true. There looks to be some green shoots though

Has he been nominated for COTY?

Ogbene a smashing ambassador for the new Ireland

Talent there.

Will they respect weaker opposition & busy their bollocks to beat them? I doubt it

If we showed the level of pressing and effort shown tonight against weaker teams then things might start to change. It’s a shocking indictment of Spock’s motivational acumen that he can’t get the players performing like that against teams we should expect to beat

France have lost to Greece in the European Championship before.

Must be.

I don’t think its anything about respect. We just lack players to break those kind of teams down. Even there tonight we had no link between midfield and attack, it was nice play to a certain point and then a bit of a speculative pass beyond the French back 4 for one of the forwards to run after every time

You’d feel Will Smallbone should be of benefit in those type of fixtures.

Sadlier happy with the defeat

How do we tag this for post of the year?

Doyle calling out Baz. He knows…
