Ireland v Georgia & Ireland v Faroe Islands & Ireland v Spain

Ronnie Brady is struggling with an injury and is doubtful for next week’s qualifier.

Ronnie? Also, he pulled out early yesterday afternoon!

Are you on the sauce Rocko?

I’m not well, as everyone knows, and all you can do is pick a fight.

Pity that about Brady.Would have been a good opportunity for him

Didn’t realise, pal, sorry. Get well soon.

He’s red raw, the poor cunt.

Pity alright. We need to improve our goal difference against the Faroes and his free-kick taking would have been an excellent asset.

The Tom Lenihan excuse.

 If all else fails, mention ill health.

The team for tomorrow evening’s game was announced earlier:

Westwood,
Wilson, McShane, R Keogh, Delaney,
A Keogh, McCarthy, Hoolahan, McClean,
Long, Cox.

Shane Long will captain the side. Obviously a very experimental team - I’d have like to see Hoolahan get a start off a lone front man rather than playing in a midfield two.

Happy to see Delaney getting a chance. That midfield looks very light. Is that Kenia lad playing for them do we know? He ripped us apart before.

Delaney is at centre back with McShane right back and Wilson left back.

Westwood was poor there. Lucky escape.

What’s the attendance. 6 thousand?

Lovely cross from McClean, just too high for Long.

Mix up from the Georgians. Long rounded the last defender really well and got through on goal on his own but finished tamely straight at the keeper.

Rocko, what happened to Levan Kenia? Thought he was very impressive player when he broke through initially at Schalke, this was from seeing him in a couple of games, think one of them might have been Trapattoni’s first competitive game in charge where Ireland played Georgia. His career seems to have take a nosedive since then.

He just never broke into the team. Looked a talented player against us alright so not sure if that was an aberration or if he was unlucky with injuries or anything.

Long had actually made a balls of that chance
