Ireland vs Qatar - Peat v Oil Derby

Doherty tried to play offside but Duffy due to his lack of pace had dropped playing Braithwaite onside. Duffy is a warrior but has had a disaster of a season. Can’t make a woeful Celtic team and was shown up badly v the likes of Livingston and Motherwell.

Doherty was at fault against Denmark.

Doherty the easy option to blame but watch it back.

Doherty was the only option to blame.

I saw it at the time and it’s only one person’s fault and that’s Doherty. He is one of the laziest defenders I’ve ever seen, he has absolutely zero interest in doing the defensive work.

I don’t care about how he plays for Celtic. He was solid again last night

First two things you are coached as a defender.

Get goalside and track the runners. For the Denmark goal Doherty is neither goalside nor did he bother to track the run, it’s embarrassing at that level of football for a defender to not even engage in the most basic aspects of defending.

Club form is overrated.

Robbie was still our main man while at LA Galaxy when nobody had a clue what he was doing over there.

Did St Ledger even have a Club when Trap was pitching him in at Centre Half for a few years?

Peterborough, Darren O’Dea, Paul Green, Simon Cox and Richard Keogh gave performances far above their club ability and form under Trap as well. Yet fellas will tell you we had far more depth back in his day.

Shane Duffy is getting shown up on a weekly basis by doormat salesmen and chimney sweeps.

At the moment Duffy cannot compain at not starting. Hopefully next season he starts afresh at a new club and gets his form back.

I never remember Simon Cox having a big impact with Ireland. Got a few goals v the nordies once in that carling cup.

Doherty is a coward.

Didsy fucked us.

The EPL bartstoolers can’t accept that some of their stalwarts are donkeys.

Shane Duffy was destroyed by a bin man and a lad who works part time in a call centre.

Hopefully Keane gets the Celtic job. I think he will sign Brady and McCarthy. Both should thrive in a weaker, less intense league and get their form and fitness back.

Duffy is an EPL player.

And he’s been badly exposed playing for a big club like Celtic.

His performances for Ireland however have been solid and he was unfairly dropped by Kenny.

Was… Sold by Everton. Can’t get his place at Brighton… He’ll be in the championship next year.

If Keane does go to Celtic it might be a good thing for the national team… he’ll deffo try get a few irish in.

He came in during the 2012 qualifiers and played very well in the latter half of that campaign. Played well away to Macedonia and MOTM v Armenia

Exposed by pub teams like Livingston and Motherwell. Needs to sort himself out next season and get back starting for Ireland.
