@TreatyStones is drawing it up.

in the current environment nobody is willing to risk the public vilification and the consequences of not treating katie taylor as a man. society is fucked.
its actually really fascinating to watch though.

Not so far anyhow.

All will be revealed tonight I’d imagine.

Cuchulainn hitting a sliothar down the throat of the dog from a couple of miles away will most likely be kept out of the reckoning by the anti-animal cruelty brigade.

Anglers won’t be happy at the omission of Fionn landing the Salmon of knowledge either.

Will we see a mention of the over reaction from Princess to your outstanding performance in the 2016 Hoover Destruction Games?

Cu Chulainn and Ferdia were harder cunts than Conor McGregor

I do hope the pride of Kanturk and Clonmel gets a mention. The first time Amhran Na BhFiann was played at the Olympics

1962 - 2012 guys

NOGRA would make solid shite out of the Fianna.

Cheers mate.

With such a specific timeline you’d think they almost have their moments picked out already

Katie will win it by a mile one way or the other. RTE are going out of their way to keep the feministas happy these days.

First Six One and now this.

Down 1960 or Armagh 2002 fit the bill there. Down 1960 is outside the time frame so Armagh 2002, and maybe Donegal 1992, should be a lot higher.

16 years really isn’t very long in the grand scheme of things.

For me, a great sporting moment should contain an element of surprise and upsetting of odds.

The penalty shootout with Romania was enthralling but Ireland were probably a better team than Romania at that point in time and only drew the game 0-0. Likewise Katie Taylor had dominated her division for years and was an unbackable favourite to win gold in 2012. The rugger team won a six team tournament in which two of the other participants were utter gash, just like England in Croke Park in 2007. Harrington was a leading golfer on the world stage and it was inevitable he’d win a major or two.Sonia O’Sullivan makes the list despite not actually winning her event.

For the element of surprise against the odds, I’d have Carruth up there as Hernandez was seen as virtually unbeatable going into the Barcelona Olympics. Raymond Hougton’s goal v England holds a similar cachet also.

To be fair the Dublin 2001 had real drama . A tricky enough free, more or less the last kick .

Ukraine’s thrilling 0-0 win over Switzerland in the round of 16 at the 2006 World Cup last night won “Ukraine’s Greatest Sporting Moment” competition.

That is debateable , that Romania team had a number of European Cup winners. The game was poor TBH .

The last 5 minutes of Tipp v Clare in 97 had more drama if that’s a relevant criteria.

It certainly had drama and an exciting finish but a lot of people forget that, up until the 60th minute, that game was dire. Limerick v Clare in 96 was an epic game all through and had an unforgettable ending.

Really? From a country that produced the Klitschko brothers and the greatest pole vaulter of all time.
