Is that more of a hiking trail than a greenway?
I know where Iād like to take the cunt
Great news, absolutely love it up there
The Rathkeale one will eventually bring you as far as Fenit, you should be able to get as far as listowel by the end of next year
I want to bring the nephew to the Waterford greenway mid august. Should we land at Waterford station with bikes and go up and back to dungarvan? Are there a few spots you can go off-road @Fagan_ODowd ?
Thereās a nice coffee shop at Kilmacthomas. Thereās probably a fairly full day depending on train times to do it all the way and back. Spending a bit of time in Dungarvan.
Yes you can do that. The Greenway starts just across the bridge though that first section isnāt the most appealing. It would be a long owl spin to Dungarvan and back in the one day, 30 miles out and 30 miles back. You couldnāt go that fast because of the numbers on the track. The best section is the 15 miles from Kilmacthomas to Clonea. If it was me Iād drive to Kilmacthomas and do that section and back.
Itās all off road by the way.
Lovely, but where is it?
Barnagh Tunnel.
Between NCW & Templeglantine
I met a lad from Swords recently, and he said it was the most boring Greenway in the country. I told him a relation of my motherās was involved in getting it off the ground, and he said there was fuckall to look at
Does he want us to build a coastline
Ya itās a fair enough assessment. That stretch from Barnagh Tunnel to the Station is class, but outside of that there isnt much else to see. The problem with the old rail lines is they generally had high banks obscuring the view.
Some big thick Kerry farmer will probably rather go to jail. Iād guess heās claiming a right of way that he never had given itās all old CIE land

This will be class when done
Some part of the country. Savage potential.
Savage.
Will be a lovely spin from malahide castle to Newbridge house on a summers day
