Love it

It’s going to be some stretch. All the way into Newry at that side.

surely it will join with the Balbriggan one eventually

When current phase is done, it’ll be about 18km (Newry to Carlingford). The long term hope is to extend it from Carlingford all the way to Dundalk. That would be an incredibly impressive one. Extending from Carlingford to Greenore even would mean people could cycle that route to the ferry.

And there is already one from Newry to Portadown - my only concern is that Portadown will become a major tourist destination now and will no longer be Irelands hidden gem.

Is Portadown nice?

No

Tipp town of the north

Have you ever been to Nenagh?

I was wondering :joy:

Was out for a jog with a pal on the Greenway today. Beautiful morning for it, if cold at start. We could see in Omeath where the new stretch is going to be. Work is progressing nicely. It’ll be top class when it’s done. The whole way to Newry by the water (and even over the water in a spot or two)

Tired the Old Rail Trail between Mullingar and Athlone today. Only got as far as Moate as I was starving, gasping and tight for time. Very flat but absolutely no scenery at all. Probably good for kids.

My arse is in bits now.

You sell it well in fairness to you.
