Anyone know if Affidea specifically (or any of the swift care clinics) would put a cast on a young fella with potentially fractured wrist who thinks he’s Caoimhín Kelleher?

Or do they just x Ray and refer on if it’s broken

I’m pretty sure they put a cast on me in the VHI swift care in Dublin once

A broken wrist might only be a splint anyway to keep it straight. Hopefully it’s just a muscle or bruised or something.

I personally think it’s a ruse to dodge school but his mother isn’t taking any chances

I was in Swiftcare for an X-ray last week. Lots of young lads and girls getting casts on various sporting and cycling related injuries. I think they even follow up now with orthopedic surgeons if it needs an op

75 euro if you have VHI policy and you’ll be there no more than 90 minutes. Ring them first and they’ll get you up on system and then it should be just walk in for that sort of injury. They were appointment based for a while but not last week anyway.

Afaik, casts are becoming less a thing these days.

I did the same a few weeks ago. Young lad complaining of a sore stomach on a Monday morning. Wife insisted he stay at home, i argued he was pulling a fast one.

Two hours later he was puking all over the place

Anyone else vomiting their combined guts up?
I’d suspect the BBQ stuff was possibly undercooked.

I was in with a consultant for 7 minutes today. €250 for the privilege. And back again in a month. FFS sake.
