Because live comedy and screen comedy are completely different? Totally different type of performance required. Some performers are funny as fuck live but shit on tv. Jason Byrne is an example.
Oh I get that alright but these lads come across as such drips and their material is so obvious that I find it hard to see how they could be that much improved in a live setting.
Live stuff can take on different buzz entirely.
I got taken to see them at the apollo in Manchester. Twas like a sketch for the Blackrock graduation. Wouldnāt watch them in the garden, though fair play to them, they sold it out.
Some people are easily amused I suppose, mate.

Iād add that both he and I wanted to fuck off at half time, but manners prevented us.
My life partner treated me to a night at Foils Arm & Hog at Vicar Street in May 2017. It was the night before @Rocko and I set off for Glasgow to witness Celtic sealing the Invincible Treble if I recall correctly. I enjoyed the show that night and would have given it 6.3/10 had I been asked to rate it.

This is the answer I think. 7 or 8 pints on board makes people seem funnier than they are.
