Speaking of black pudding and sausage rolls, Annuascaul do a mane one of both.

@Spidey add it to your sausage roll list for review, very tasty. Not easily got outside of Kerry

Always

Whatever they can buy cheap and sell expensive.

I would generally prefer black pudding to white but their white pudding is fantastic.

Barmbrack.

My grandmother over in west Limerick used to have it of a Sunday, throughout the year.

Wasn’t a big fan of it to be honest. Would be washed down with a good glass of 7up.

Is the curry chip a bit of an Irish thing? Obviously, curry and chips on their own are not, but I remember going over to Canada a couple of decades ago and the locals I worked with were raving about these curry chips they got in the Irish bar, as if it was some exotic food

It isn’t mate. Its just an abomination on our culture. A curse really.

Roy captures it so eloquently. Yet again.

He’s a national treasure

I was in China and you couldn’t get a 3-in-1.

On a family walk Tuesday we did an impromptu bit of blackberry picking… Filled a couple of doggy bags with them. The little one absolutely loved it… We made a bit of jam with just lemon juice added. But she’s been nibbling away on them since. I might go out again with her over the weekend. It’s a great lesson for kids to learn… The lady two doors up has a tomato plant that we (the mrs) watered when she was away for a week…every night the little came home all excited telling me the tomatoes are still green - well didn’t they turn red the other day - off the charts excitement and she got to take one home, take a bite, and throw it in the bin.

Don’t eat them from bushes by the side of the road

No. Never.

A little strawberry plant is what you need for next year,

Blackberry picking has been a long standing favourite of the TFK dads, a few more weeks and they should be bulking up
You can make a liovely crumble with blackberries

There is an abundance of them down Baggot Estate at the moment. Some fucker was down there with a bucket clearing them out the other day though.

The folks in mount oval would be too good for picking black berries… Weve a couple of fields off road in the estate with plenty of berries growing.

I was talking to the newer dads.

The wild blackberries go great in a large Malfy Gin and some Club Lemon
