Irish People Poppy Watch

Niall Quinn on Sky Sports 1 now

This will be the worst year yet for this shit.

No it won’t, I think it’s peaked.
It is actually one of the few things that tfk changed my mind about. I no longer give any money to the poppy , or wear one.
I get a bit embarrassed walking past the collectors, as I do with any charity collector, but it soon passes.
I would wear one to commemorate the WW1 and WW2 dead. WW1 was aristocratic idiocy inflicted upon the working class by and large, but WW2 was a just war really, given what the nazis and japs were up to.
It has been bent a way away from this.

I find myself nodding in agreement with all you said there.

It actually seems later this year, already 29th Oct and just starting to see them on tv.

Busy month for Vol. James McClean ahead.

Poppy fascists out in force early this year led by the vile Kay Burley…

Does she have a dog who’s shook by this?

The wearing of the poppy is a lovely nod by the Brits to the heroin trade they helped revitalise when they invaded Afghanistan in 2001.

I’ve great time for McLean. It would have been easy just to wear one and be done with it but he knows where he’s from and who his people are and the atrocities the brits carried out on his neighbours,he knew he couldn’t go home and look his family or friends in the eye if he did. That takes guts, something which is sadly lacking in most people these days, something the likes of kay burley and cunts like her will only ever hear or read about
