Irish Player Watch 2012/13

James McCarthy scored twice today for Wigan against QPR in what looked like a very good performance.

My mate John O Flynn banged in a couple of goals today for Exeter , surely he must be in the reckoning for the game against Sweden after that

Meyler and Brady got the goals in hull´s 2-1 win at watford…

some young irish lad derrick williams came on for Villa for his debut last weekend and was on the bench today. left sided centre back, seemed like he could play a bit. villa have given, dunne, ireland, clark, stevens, carruthers, burke and now williams in and around the first team this season. a lot of good reports about another irish qualified young player, jack grealish too, who is playing with the youths/reserves.

if they were anyway decent they wouldnt be playing for a club like villa

+1

If they were any good they’d be playing for a club like Exeter.

the first 3 are probably on the way out to be fair.

still brings back great memories of when villa had a load of top irish players in the side. mcgrath, houghton, townsend, staunton and of course gareth farrelly

+1

On a side note Exeter and the area around Bath are beautiful parts of the world

Winner for McGeady this evening for Spartak away to Rubin Kazan:

Going from the highlights Alex Pearce had a very solid game for Reading today against City.

Gareth McAuley has given Manchester United the lead against West Bromwich Albion.

I see Sean st Ledger has had another innjury set back and is all but certain to miss the Sweden and Austria games. Hard to see us getting a result away to Sweden without a fully fit Dunne and St Ledger at the heart of the defence.

Lovely goal by Seamus Coleman to put Everton 4-1 up against Cheltenham.

Anyone know what’s up with Keith Fahey?

he´s gone back home nearly 2 months at this stage…

Rumours were doing the rounds that he had a serious falling out with Lee Clarke, but this has been denied by the club and manager

Can’t be that though really, he would be out on loan if that was the case surely.

He returned home to Dublin in November i think, out of action a good while now. :strokechin:

Announced back in mid November alright. Been surprisingly little said about it since.

the clique have been PMed the reason why

dont pass it on

Got it thanks TASE.
